Lancaster County Woman Evades Arrest in $12,000 Ulta Beauty Theft Spree

LANCASTER, Pa. — A warrant for the arrest of a woman from Lancaster County, linked to a series of retail thefts amounting to over $12,000 at an Ulta Beauty store on Fruitville Pike, was officially closed on September 25th. This development followed the suspect’s appearance in court for a hearing related to the case.

Law enforcement authorities have alleged that Quetesha Laray Payne, aged 34, was connected to multiple retail theft rings responsible for stealing thousands of dollars’ worth of merchandise from various locations across central Pennsylvania.

The incident in question occurred on May 2nd when it was reported that five individuals entered the Ulta store and secretly concealed merchandise valued at $7,732. Afterward, they left the store without making any payment and fled the scene in the same vehicle.

Remarkably, just one week later, two of the suspects returned to the very same Ulta store on Fruitville Pike and made off with an additional $5,388 worth of merchandise.

Photographs of the vehicle used in these thefts were provided to the police, leading to a subsequent investigation that pinpointed Quetesha Laray Payne as a suspect.

Furthermore, information gathered by law enforcement identified Payne, along with several other individuals, as suspects involved in more extensive organized retail thefts throughout Central Pennsylvania.
