Pennsylvania State Police Investigate $30,000 Robbery by Impersonating Officers

LONDONDERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The Pennsylvania State Police are currently conducting an investigation into a robbery incident involving suspects who posed as law enforcement officers, making off with an estimated $30,000 from a vehicle.

According to State Police reports, the incident occurred on September 26 around 11:30 a.m. Troopers were dispatched to the scene at Mile Marker 7 on PA 283 following reports of a robbery.

The victim, who was driving an unmarked van without windows, was pulled over by a dark SUV equipped with flashing red and blue lights, giving the appearance of a police vehicle. Acting under the guise of law enforcement officers, the suspects in the SUV ordered the victim to surrender his vehicle keys.

Shortly thereafter, another van arrived at the scene, and individuals from this second vehicle proceeded to remove a significant amount of cash from the victim’s van. The stolen sum is estimated to be in the vicinity of $30,000.
