Terrifying Home Invasion: Family Attacked, Kids Scared

In State College, Pennsylvania, a man entered a family’s home, reportedly assaulted a husband and wife, and frightened young children, according to the State College Police.

Aidan Joseph Malley, aged 20, allegedly threatened residents in an apartment near the 1000 block of Metz Avenue in State College. Officer Kurt Stere filed an affidavit on September 22, stating that Malley broke a window around 1:30 a.m. to gain entry.

Inside, Malley paced back and forth in the living room and was confronted by the homeowner. He demanded that the homeowner call 911, warning, “Call 911 now, or you’ll face dire consequences.”

Malley allegedly assaulted the man, striking him in the face multiple times as he pursued him into a bedroom. He threw the man against a wall and knocked him to the ground twice, as noted in Stere’s report.

A woman called 911, but Malley allegedly attacked her as she tried to leave the bedroom, punching her in the face. She sought refuge on the living room floor with her children.

While inside, Malley entered one of the children’s rooms, according to investigators. The child pleaded, “Please don’t hurt me, please leave,” while sitting on the floor next to her bed, away from the bedroom door, as per police accounts.

Police documented cuts and bruises on the man’s face and leg, as well as red marks on the woman’s cheek and dried blood on her clothing.

Reports indicate that police located Malley on Osmond Street. He had several lacerations on his hands, head, and legs. After the woman identified him as the intruder, they transported him to Mount Nittany Medical Center.

Malley faces charges of first-degree felony burglary, criminal trespassing, simple assault, criminal mischief, and harassment. He posted a $50,000 monetary bail and was released from custody on September 22.
